Volunteering is one of the best ways to get to know Township staff and neighbors while helping to maintain Genoa Township as a truly 'Nice Place to Live'. Volunteers are needed annually to assist with events and special service projects. Submit a general interest form below and a staff member will reach out to you with more information.

UPCOMING SERVICE OPPORTUNITY

Event: Earth Day Service Project - CANCELLED due to low registrations

Date: Saturday, April 22, 2023

Time: 9am-Noon Volunteers are asked to arrive prior to the start of the event.

Location: McNamara Park (Enter via Big Walnut Road/Fire Station, 7049 Big Walnut Road)

Description: Volunteers mulch the flowerbeds in McNamara and Freeman Parks. Additional duties as time allows will include weeding and litter pick-up. The Township Maintenance Department will provide wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels, trash bags, and gloves. Wear appropriate clothing as the mulch can stain. We will meet at the shelter house on the west end of McNamara Park (entrance next to the fire station) at 8:45am and divide up from there to work in the two parks. If you are not available for the entire time, please feel free to join us when you are able.

Registration: Advanced registration requested for planning purposes, but not required.
Notes: Duties are best suited for teens and adults, but children are welcome.
