Block Watch programs are an essential part of effective Community Oriented Policing. Crime can be prevented when neighborhoods are noticeably vigilant and also when information gathered from observant neighbors is used to help solve crimes. Genoa Township Police utilize Flock Safety Cameras (license plate readers) in partnership with some Block Watch areas.
