C.O.P. FILES(Community Oriented Policing) Community Oriented Policing
can be defined as a “policing philosophy that promotes and supports organizational
strategies to address the causes, and reduce the fear, of crime and social
disorder through problem-solving tactics and police-community partnerships." The strength of law enforcement, government agencies, and the civilian community is pulled together to promote public safety and enhance the quality of life for our communities and residents. The Genoa Township Police Department requires the positive contact between patrol officers and community members, and delivers the services needed when and where the community requires them. It is
our goal and mission statement that we serve our community based on the
C.O.P. policy and to help problem solving with our residents and identify
the concerns of the community members. For
