Paul Wise

Paul F. Wise was appointed Township Administrator in 2004.  Paul has successfully managed public entities for over 20 years, and private firms for another 7 years.  As Township Administrator, Paul is the CEO of Genoa Township, where he directs the day to day operations of the township.  Prior to joining Genoa Township, Paul held the position of Director of Safety and Service for the City of East Liverpool, Ohio for 7 years.  

Before offering his expertise to public entities, Paul managed the office and the Credit and Collections Department for the Sterling China Company, and was also a Loan Officer for the Potters Savings and Loan Company. 

Paul has been a member of the Lions Club International for close to 3 decades, where he has served as President twice, and Lion of the Year.  He was voted the East Liverpool Jaycee Boss of the Year in 1997. He has served on the East Liverpool Board of Public Utilities, the Columbiana County Planning Commission, and the East Liverpool Board of Control.  In 2016, Governor John Kasich appointed Paul to represent the 1362 Townships in Ohio on the Ohio EPA’s Material Management Advisory Committee.  Paul also serves on the Delaware, Knox, Marion and Morrow Solid Waste District Planning Committee, the Ohio State Auditors Regional Advisory Board, the Delaware Soil and Water Conservation District Advisory Committee, the Mid-Ohio Reginal Planning Commission’s Sustainability Advisory Committee, the Westerville City School Facility Advisory Committee, and currently holds the position of Board Chairman for the Millstone Creek Housing Authority. 

Paul is a graduate of the Kent State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, and has also continued his professional development by attending the Ohio Township Association Leadership Academy, and the Genoa Township Leadership Academy. 

Paul and his wife Lisa have two sons, Anthony and Clayton, and a sassy 4 pound dog named Stella.  Paul enjoys extending multiuse trails, acquiring trail easements, playing bocce, and boating on Alum Creek.
