The chip seal is just an interlayer that seals all of the cracks and imperfections.  It will be nice and black when completed.

Genoa Township will be sponsoring a Family Fishing Day at Hilmar Park on September 25th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Hilmar Park is located on Hilmar Dr. just north of Mount Royal Ave.

Safety Services Open House

 

The Genoa Township Fire and Police Departments’ annual open house will be held on October 30th from 12:00 to 3:00.  There will be demonstrations, activities and information available for all ages.

 

Fire Department Activities::

1.       Do you have what it takes?  This will demonstrate the agility test our firefighters have to pass prior to being hired.  Residents will be given the opportunity to test their strength and agility utilizing the same course and equipment.

2.       Stuck on a hot roof.  The firefighters will demonstrate the rescue of a victim from the roof of a building.

3.       Get Out Alive.  Utilizing our flashover simulator, this demonstration shows the importance of having working smoke detectors and how quickly a fire spreads.

Police Department Activities:

1.       Free food

2.       Various displays

Trick or Treat Village

Come and visit our “Trick-or-Treat Village” for little beggars!  The fun begins on October 30th from 12:00 to 3:00 with games, prizes, free raffles for children, inflatables, hot dogs, cider, popcorn, doughnuts and more!

No Ghost, Goblin or Princess will leave empty handed!
