Genoa Township is a rapidly growing township of approximately
21.5 square miles located in southeastern Delaware County, Ohio.
The beautiful countryside and close proximity to Columbus and Franklin
County has made Genoa Township an attractive place to live. In fact,
Genoa is the second-fastest growing township in Delaware County,
which is the 10th fastest growing county in the nation. Our population
has risen from less than 5,000 in 1990 to over 17,000 residents
today.
With easy access to Interstate 71 at the Polaris Parkway
interchange, Genoa Township is quickly becoming an upscale bedroom
community for Columbus and Franklin County.
Among the attractions in Genoa Township are Hoover Reservoir and
two outstanding private golf courses: Highland Lakes Golf and Country
Club and the Medallion Club. In addition, the Township is in the
process of developing recreational opportunities for its residents
that will include McNamara Park, a 20-acre park consisting of a
large pavilion, a children's playground, soccer fields, ball diamonds,
basketball courts, and a walking trail. Genoa Trail is a multi-purpose
paved recreational trail on an abandoned rail bed along State Route
3. When complete, the Trail will traverse the entire length of the
Township from Maxtown Road to Plumb Road.
